Sometimes I forget how solving small problems has a big impact on your outlook. Carrying your “worldly goods” on your back for hours a day is a burden and part of the life of a pilgrim. I am carrying a poncho that weighs a lot relative to everything else I am carrying. It is a burden now, but if the heavens open up it makes for a much more comfortable walk. Sudden insight this morning…it makes a darn good stuff sack for lighter things so I can free up space inside the backpack and reduce weight. A small win that brightens the 31km ahead.
